Jordan McQueen -
Yearbook Portfolio

My portfolio.png
Hello!
My name is Jordan McQueen, and I am a senior editor for the Huron Yearbook. I am currently a senior and I have been a part of yearbook for two years now. One of the things I love most about working on the yearbook is capturing and writing about the most memorable moments for students at Huron. I enjoy being able to collaborate with other talented hard workers to create something that reflects our school year. When I first joined the staff, I was not very confident in my writing but after my advisor Mrs. Badalemnte encouraged me to become an editor I have loved it ever since. After joining staff, I gained appreciation for all the hard work that goes into creating a yearbook that students will remember. I am so glad I get to be a part of a team that designs something so meaningful to students and I'm excited to continue pursuing it in the future.

This is a personality profile I wrote about one of my friends about her job. I am proud of this because I was able to talk about a lot more in this story and explain more about what her job is and why she likes it.

This is my favorite thing that I have put into the yearbook all semester. I am very proud of myself because I think the picture I got looks really nice. Another thing that I did well on was making sure I was telling his story the correct way and making sure everything was correct.

I am proud of this work because it is the first story I wrote for the yearbook. I think I did a good job on including everything she said in the interview and being extremely detailed in my writing. Writing specifically about a senior let me include their running process throughout high school and how she grew as a runner.

My favorite part about this story is the headline because when I first started writing stories for the yearbook I needed to improve on making a headline and subheadline. I think that this shows how I have grown as a writer throughout the semester. One thing I am proud of from this is the picture I was able to include and the interview process because I was able to get a lot of information.

I wrote this personality profile of a student about his morning routine. My favorite part about this story was the interview because I made sure to ask good enough questions so that he could give a descriptive response.

I liked this because I was able to interview and write about people that were not in my grade. I was proud of this because I spent time outside of class on figuring out who I should interview on the cheer team.

I am proud of this because I like the idea I came up with and I had a lot of fun making this one. I was challenged because I was trying to find people who were not in the yearbook very much. I am proud of coming up with different questions to ask people and challenging myself.

This is another profile I write about a senior and I really like the topic I picked for this. My favorite part was being able to talk about multiple interests that she has and being able to share what she would like to do in the future.

I asked 4 students a song to describe their senior year. My favorite part about this is the title and I am proud of learning how to cut out things to put them on the page. And my favorite part was interviewing them.

I enjoyed making this because I was able to ask seniors about there favorite memories after spending four years at Huron. I really enjoyed doing this because students were able to reflect on the past years and I just really liked interviewing them.

This is a logo I made for our contest and I picked this because it was something I had to be creative with. I like this one because it is colorful and different from the rest.

I did this spread on family member’s at Huron. ik am proud of this because I was able to get more coverage because I found students that were not already in the book 3 or more times.
I worked on the story and I enjoyed explaining his fun vacation. I really liked the interview for his because he went in a very fun vacation.

Heading 6

This is one of the senior pages I worked on and I am proud of the coverage on this page and the stories I was able to write. I was working on getting as many seniors in the book as I can and I regally think

I was able to accomplish that with this page.

This is another senior page I worked on and I really enjoyed learning and writing about what seniors are doing after graduation. This will give buyers something to look forward to.
